Dear Dr. Nassif;

I am 43 years old and my daughter is getting married March 4, 2012. I really want a fresh look for her wedding day, but don't know where to even start. My husband and I due to the recession and the loss of my father in 2008 moved in with my mother because her health was really bad after my father died and we had to file bankruptcy this year. I do not have extra money, but watch you a lot and trust your judgement. I just have no idea what I could try for a fresher look so that I look my best on my daughter's wedding day. My main concern is the line on my forehead and the eleven between my brows. They are not real deep, but I see them and they bother me. Thank you so much for your taking the time to read my e-mail because I know how very busy you are. I appreciate any suggestions you would have.

Respectfully Submitted,

Tabetha Sellers

Hello,

I would really need to see photos to provide you with the best advice.

Please feel free to send any photos to Ana, my patient care coordinator at Ana@spaldingplasticsurgery.com and I would be happy to look at them for

you. Typically, Botox works excellent for lines in the forehead and

between the brows. Thanks very much for the message.

Dr. Nassif

I would like to know what to do. I will be 50 in january and I have indured 22 surguries. From L5 S1 fusion to 2 neck surgeries, Gall bladder, apendix.hystorectomy, knee, etc....bleeding internaly in stomach from cyists, my stomach has been cut so many different ways and now I am suffering from sharp pains, stomach spasms. etc. They did such a hack job on my stomach and I have been so insecure and ALWAYS cover my stomach someway even when I am dressed. I HATE IT. I will be having another neck and knee surgery when I feel ready. Just sick of it. Please tell me if You know anyone that does pro bono or what to do. I am a very giving person and always help others and now I can't take it anymore. I admire You for all You do and Your work is one of a kind. I save money then something happens. These surgeries were not from accidents either. Would Love some input or if blue cross covers it somehow. It is a problem where I double over. I was told it was cosmedic. I just can't live like this anymore. Am I asking for to much?? If so please accept my apoligies. I do Gourmet chocolate and had a store for 6 yrs. till we closed (economy) and theft. so I would love to make You some chocolate. I make 120 types.

Anyways I am going on and on. I would like to send You a photo of my stomach and for once in my life I would look forward to going under the knife.

THANK YOU for just reading this, God bless

Hello,
Thank you for the message and the kind words. Sorry to hear about what you have gone through with all of your surgeries. I only perform plastic surgery to the face.  There are many financing companies that offer payment plans to make cosmetic surgery more affordable. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

Good Afternoon Dr Nassif,

I need your advise- I’ve had two spinal surgeries that have left two very undesirable scars.  One scar is on my throat and the other is on my lower back.   I’ve  tried the over the counter scar creams but to no avail.   Are there procedures that would help hide or fade the scars

Thank you

Answer

Hello,

I only perform plastic surgery to the face. Regarding the scar on your neck, I would really need to see a photo to give you the best advice. Laser treatments may work well to help minimize the appearance of the scar.  With a more severe scar, a scar revision may help.  Please feel free to send a photo of your neck scar to Ana, my patient care coordinator atAna@spaldingplasticsurgery.com and I would be happy to take a look at it for you. Thanks very much for the message.

I have really narrow nostrils that often make it difficult to breathe.  Is there a procedure that can widen the space or am I out of luck?  Sometimes when I'm asleep, I start dreaming that I'm being suffocated and I wake up gasping for breath.  This is because I feel asleep  breathing through my nose and I need more oxygen, so I make sure I fall asleep with my mouth open.  I have no nasal deformities and I do not have sleep apnea.  Exercise is often tough because I can only mouth breathe and if the weather is just a bit cold it triggers my asthma since mouth breathing doesn't warm the air like nose breathing does.

Answer

Hello,
It is possible to widen the nostrils to help improve your breathing. Please feel free to send any photos to Ana, my patient care coordinator at Ana@spaldingplasticsurgery.com and I would be happy to evaluate them for you. You may also speak with Ana about scheduling a consult, or call the office at 310 275 2467. Thanks for the message!

Dear Dr Nassif,

I'm a dermatologist who 2 months ago had a revision rhinoplasty done by a reputable ENT cosmetic surgeon in nyc (head of the ENT facial department at one of the nyc hospitals), 20 years after the first one was done. On the day that the hard cast was removed, I had a ~4mm round slightly inflamed and slightly compressible subcutaneous nodule on the right side of my nasal bridge that was never there before. The surgeon said he's never seen anything like this before. (He did rasp the area in surgery but otherwise no grafts were placed at this site.) It becomes more inflamed and larger when it's compressed, but otherwise doesn't get worse when left alone. The surgeon wants to wait a year before going back in, since it's not getting worse (given the assumption that there may be a bony spicule, cartilage spicule, or piece of scar tissue, that is causing the reaction at that site.) Have you ever heard of anything like this before? Thanks for your time.

Best regards,

Julie
