New Chin Trend

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Americans spent more on plastic surgery in 2010 than they did in previous years. The 3 percent increase in volume of plastic surgery to the chin points to a new trend in chin plastic surgery. More Americans are interested in chin augmentation procedures using injectables in large cities such as Los Angeles.

Chin augmentation procedure

There are two forms of chin augmentation procedures that are performed. Chin augmentation can be performed through surgery or through injectables. The chin augmentation surgery uses implants to augment the chin, creating a more even appearance. The chin can also be augmentated using injectable fillers such as Radiesse or Artefill. The fillers are injected precisely into specific areas to increase projection, length, or width of the chin.

Why do people get the chin procedure?

The procedure eliminates common issues such as saggy skin in the chin area. It is also performed to complement other plastic surgery procedures, such as nose surgery. Individuals also appreciate having the ability to undergo a less drastic surgical procedure that enhances their existing facial features.

Chin augmentation though injectables will likely continue to grow in popularity, as Americans appear to be embracing these types of non-surgical procedures. Even in a climate of stagnant wages, Americans still see the value of investing in procedures that improve their facial appearance and are lowin risk. The research suggests a steady increase in injectable procedures for years to come.
