Preoperative Diagnosis:
- Nasal obstruction secondary to deviated septum, bilateral internal valve narrowing and hypertrophic turbinates.
- Bilateral compensatory hypertrophic turbinates.
- Deviated Setpum.
Postoperative Diagnosis:Same with malformed, concave right medial crura.
Procedure:
- Septoplasty.
- Submucous resection of right inferior turbinate.
- Submucous resection of left inferior turbinate.
- Repair of nasal vestibular stenosis, bilateral spreader grafts.
- Repair of nasal vestibular stenosis, bilateral spreader grafts (Open Rhinoplasty)
Findings: Septum deviated to 3+ left, narrow right greater than left middle vault; concave, malformed right medial crura.
Comment: This patient was having some trouble breathing and desired a softer look to her nose. Post surgery photos reveal an improved nose and patient has reported better breathing. |
