Female patient with nasal obstruction and external nasal deformity.
Procedure: Open rhinoplasty, septoplasty and turbinoplasty. Spreader grafts, columellar strut, lateral crural strut grafts were placed in reduction to cosmetic rhinoplasty with alar base reduction.
FINDINGS: Collapsed external valve (concave LLC) impinging into airway, Large septal spur to right with bony deviation on right and caudal septum deviated to left, narrow right greater than left middle vault, splayed right nasal bone, left nasal bone with vertical/narrowed component. Native lower lateral cartilages: 8 mm.
Comment: Her 4 month postop photos reveal a healing softer nose, but more importantly, the patient can breathe better. Her nose will continue to change as we approach the one year mark. |
