CO2 Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Palomar’s patented fractional resurfacing, also known as photothermolysis, is a revolutionary treatment that uses soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing. Fractional laser does not offer the same as full surface laser results, but the treatment is highly effective and there is no downtime necessary. SpaldingDrive uses the Lux1540 Fractional Laser hand piece to deliver light in an array of high precision micro beams. The beams penetrate the deep below the epidermis in narrow columns coagulating tissue. This activates the natural formation of healthy tissue and cellular debris is naturally eliminated as the skin is resurfaced.

Fractional laser skin resurfacing can help with a wide variety of skin conditions but some of the more commonly addressed conditions include wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, freckles, age spots, melasma, uneven skin tone, discoloration, loss of elasticity and enlarged pores.

The areas targeted by fractional laser skin resurfacing are spaced out at a microscopic level. The micro beams create tiny spots of treated skin that exist along side healthy untreated spots and allows the treated spots to heal faster because the untreated areas can maintain their integrity and aid in tissue recovery. Skin treated by fractional skin resurfacing recovers rapidly, leaving new and healthy tissue within a few days. The process provides not only faster recovery, but also greater safety. Skin may appear swollen or red and may be accompanied by some peeling. These symptoms usually subside within a week.

Treatments can be completed in 30 minutes or less. Fractional laser skin resurfacing is generally offered in packages of multiple sessions and a general course usually consists of 4-6 treatments. Results are not immediate but more gradual and patients will see evidence of skin improving after 2-3 sessions. The full cosmetic benefits will be visible after 8-12 weeks. Patients generally find the treatments to be easily tolerated, but topical numbing cream is available for those who are worried about sensitivity.

Packages are available starting at $1100.
