Narrator: This former Sacramento Kings dancer doesn't wanna look younger she wants to look older.

Danielle earns a living as a makeup artist, but the 21-year-old has decided she needs more than lipstick and eye shadow to reach her goals.

Danielle: I'm interested in a career in broadcasting, and unfortunately appearances do matter as far as how you're perceived by the public. And I feel that my appearance shows off immature qualities, I look younger than I actually am. So I think a chin implant would help my jaw line, help me look a little bit more mature, and strong.

Dr. Paul Nassif: The way we do a chin implant is I make a very small incision right underneath here okay? And what I do at that point is put in a little chin implant, and take a look.

Danielle: My self image, I feel that I'm comfortable with myself, I like the way I look. Everyone has these minute things about themselves they'd like to change, I don't think that makes me any less of a person though.

Dr. Paul Nassif: Danielle?

Danielle: Huh?

Dr. Paul Nassif: Hi, we're all finished.

Danielle: Oh are you serious?

Dr. Paul Nassif: We're all finished, it's already done. Everything went perfect. You have a nice new little chin.

Well, it's been just a little bit over a week, and you look great.

Danielle: Thank you.

Dr. Paul Nassif: Do you have any pain?

Danielle: No, not at all. Actually the pain occurred more when I went back to work and I had to talk, because I had to talk so much in my job. I think it was just the muscles got sore. They say three weeks until everything's totally healed and you're picture perfect. So I should be able to smile normal, not like this face.

Narrator: Danielle's chin implant wasn't to make funny faces. She's hoping the surgery will improve her chances of building a career in broadcasting.

Danielle: I think it made a vast improvement. I feel that I look a little bit more mature, especially from the profile, because I don't have a receding chin, which gives me the perception of being weak or young. My friends and family's reaction has been positive. They like the improvement, they think that it makes a big difference in my profile. And they understand now why I did it.
