If you feel that your eyelashes are thin, short or too light in color, you may be an ideal candidate for treatment with Latisse™, a new innovation in eyelashes.

Latisse™ is a new FDA-approved treatment able to improve inadequate or insufficient eyelashes (hypotrichosis) by increasing their length and thickness and making them darker in color.

This new prescription treatment is believed to work by extending the growth phase of the eyelash hairs and increasing the number of hairs in the growth phase. As the new eyelash hairs replace your existing eyelashes, the result is longer, thicker, darker and more luxurious eyelashes.

Latisse™ is applied nightly after cleansing your face and removing any contact lenses. One drop is applied with the provided sterile applicators to the skin of each upper eyelid at the base of the eyelashes. Latisse™ should not be applied to the lower eyelids. Each Latisse™ kit includes 60 sterile applicators, enough to last for one month using one sterile applicator per eye.

Improvement may be seen in as little as four weeks, with optimal improvement occurring after sixteen weeks.

Because Latisse™ will not impact your existing eyelash hairs, you may choose to use mascara in addition to Latisse™ as you wait for your new, thicker eyelashes to grow out.

Side effects are rare. A small percentage of patients may experience a temporary itching sensation of the eyes or eye redness. Other, less common, side effects may include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids.

Latisse™ is the first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes.
