I am female with a heavy beard on the underside of my chin going down into my neck. Shaving there gives me terrible rashes and many ingrown hairs. It is always irritated and uncomfortable. Would laser hair removal be able to get those ingrown hairs?

Answer:
Laser hair removal will not get rid of the ingrown hairs.  The hairs do have to be expelled from the skin, shaved, then treated with the IPL hair removal system.  As the areas are treated the incident of ingrown hairs are decreased.  The removal of the hair will prevent re-growth and the problems of ingrown hairs in the future.
