Spalding Drive Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills is adding the most powerful light based aesthetic system to their practice. The Palomar StarLux™ Pulsed Light and Laser System will enable us to provide multiple aesthetic treatments to our patients.

Palomar’s patented fractional photothermolysis is a revolutionary treatment that uses soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing. The treatment is highly effective and there is no downtime necessary. Spalding Plastic Surgery uses the Lux1540 Fractional Laser handpiece to deliver light in an array of high precision micro beams. This beams penetrate the deep below the epidermis in narrow columns coagulating tissue. This activates the natural formation of healthy tissue and cellular debris is naturally eliminated as the skin is resurfaced.

Skin treated by fractional skin resurfacing recovers rapidly, leaving new and healthy tissue within a few days.

Fractional skin resurfacing is generally offered in packages of multiple sessions and a general course usually consists of 4-6 treatments. Results are not immediate but gradual and patients will see evidence of skin improving after 2-3 sessions. The full cosmetic benefits will be visible after 8-12 weeks.

Some of the common skin conditions treated by resurfacing include wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, age spots, melasma, uneven skin tone, discoloration, loss of elasticity and enlarged pores.
