Boost Facelift Results Additional Procedures

Boost Your Facelift Results with Additional Procedures

The goal of a facelift is to give yourself a younger, brighter appearance by taking years off your face. The best ones can make you look up to ten years younger! Though facelifts don’t stop you from aging, they will help keep your youthful appearance for years to come. One of the ways you can maximize the results of your facelift is to boost it with additional facial procedures.

What a Facelift Does

There are different types of lifts that can be performed on your face. A standard facelift typically focuses on the lower half of your face, including the areas around your mouth, chin, and neck. This region experiences the greatest pull of gravity, so most of your problems with wrinkles and loose, droopy skin are often found here. Excess fatty deposits can also accumulate here because they travel south with gravity as well.

The facelift procedure involves lifting and tightening the lower half of your face to improve your appearance. Incisions are typically made behind the ears or in the hairline to give the surgeon access to the area under the skin. If there are excess fat deposits that need to be removed, this can also be done through the incisions. The skin is then lifted and trimmed before being sutured back to the incisions. The result is a face that has better definition around the jawbone and a brighter look.

Procedures You Can Get that Boost Your Facelift

  • Brow lift – Since a standard facelift usually targets the lower half of the face, a brow lift tackles the upper half. Wrinkles can form on the forehead and between the eyebrows as you get older, plus your forehead and eyebrows may start to droop, making you appear tired or angry. Brow lifts focus on lifting the skin around your forehead to help you look less tired and more relaxed.
  • Eye lift – Your eyes can also be affected by aging. Wrinkles can appear at the corners and the bags under your eyes can become more pronounced. Eye lifts improve the appearance of your eyes by reducing the wrinkles and the bags.
  • Dermal fillers – Sometimes wrinkles are too deep to be corrected with a facelift alone. Dermal fillers like Botox or Dysport can help improve the look of wrinkles and other fillers like Juvederm can give you a little extra volume in areas that need better definition.
  • Facial fat transfers – Sometimes your fat deposits can be used to improve your appearance by adding volume or smoothing out different areas of your skin. The fat is simply harvested from one area of your body and then is transferred to an area of your face.
  • Chin augmentation – People with weak chins find that the problem is not helped much with just a facelift; it might even make the chin more pronounced. Chin augmentation involves improving the definition of the chin using implants, facial fat transfers, or dermal fillers
  • Rhinoplasty – Though the nose may not have as great and impact on the overall results of your facelift, it can still help improve your overall appearance. Noses that are disproportional or have imperfections can detract from how amazing the rest of your face looks. A rhinoplasty, or nose job, can help with that.

Any combination of these procedures can be used to boost your facelift and maximize its results. Even if you don’t know what procedures will work best for you, that’s okay! That’s what your patient consultation is for!
