Have You Heard of the Beverly Hills Facelift™?

There many different types and styles of facelift surgeries out there, so many that you might be having trouble understanding how these procedures are different and which one is really the best for you. Some facelifts focus on one particular area of the face, while others are combined with additional procedures to give you maximum results. Some facelifts require more downtime than others. At Spalding Drive Plastic Surgery, we offer the Beverly Hills Facelift™, a creation of Dr. Paul Nassif.
How is the Beverly Hills Facelift™ Different From Other Facelifts?
Traditionally, a facelift is designed to target the lower half of your face. Aging causes your skin to start sagging around the cheeks and jaw, which gives your chin and jawbone less definition. You also start to get wrinkles around your mouth and between your mouth and nose. A facelift tightens up the skin around these areas using incisions made around your ears and hairline so that your face looks younger and smoother.
The Beverly Hills Facelift™ also targets the lower half of your face, but it also looks at your neck. Sagging skin occurs in your neck as well as in your face, which is what causes jowls and double chins to form. The platysma muscles in your neck also feel the effects of aging. They begin to weaken and loosen over time, creating sagging muscle bulges under your chin. Fat deposits also begin to accumulate along the jaw and under the chin.
The Beverly Hills Facelift™ helps to correct these problems in your neck in addition to correcting problems in your face. Liposuction is used to remove the fat deposits through small incisions, and the muscles and underlying soft tissue can be repaired by lifting the skin up. Any extra skin can be removed before it is tightened around the neck and face. The result is a smoother and younger-looking face and neck that remove years from your overall appearance.
Why is the Beverly Hills Facelift™ a Good Facelift Option?
The Beverly Hills Facelift™ improves the look of your neck in addition to improving the look of your face. This is important because taking care of both of these areas is critical in defining your overall appearance. Your facial features and your neck complement each other; how they appear contributes to how you appear. When one of your features is out of balance with your face or neck, you may look older or tired. A traditional facelift will correct the loose and sagging skin around your cheeks and jaw, but it doesn’t address your neck. Patients who want to improve their neck in addition to their face typically have to get a neck lift procedure as well as a facelift.
The Beverly Hills Facelift™, on the other hand, combines a facelift and a neck lift together into one procedure to give you complete and thorough improvement. By working on both areas, your appearance gets a full boost with longer-lasting and more impactful results.
Even better, this particular facelift is a creation of Dr. Paul Nassif, who is known for his expertise in facial plastic surgery. Dr. Nassif has been a plastic surgeon for more than twenty years. While he is skilled in many different types of plastic surgery, his specialties are in facial surgery. Dr. Nassif has spent much of his career working to improve upon plastic surgery to make the techniques more refined and safer for patients while still producing quality and long-lasting results.
In this procedure, Dr. Nassif makes the incisions at the temple and behind the ear so they will be easily concealed. Dressings from the procedure can be removed after two days. Sutures can be removed in seven days, and metal clips used to hold the skin in place while it heals can be removed in two weeks. Most patients experience mild or little pain following surgery, as well as some swelling or bruising, all of which can be controlled with cold compresses and pain medications.
How Do I Know If the Beverly Hills Facelift™ is Right for Me?
Getting started on any plastic surgery procedure can be daunting, but that’s why a patient consultation is an important first step. During your consultation, you meet with your plastic surgeon so they can assess your face and determine exactly what you need. You can discuss the procedure in detail with your surgeon, ask questions, and get all the instructions you need to prepare yourself for the big day.
